The story of Corte Lavarini

We are Mihaela and Cesare, and in 2003 we chose to care for the Lavarini family's nineteenth-century country house, set among the hills of Fumane in Ca' dei Maghi, in the heart of Valpolicella.

Many thought it was madness. For us, it was a dream.

It was not simply a house to renovate, but a place rich in history and family memories that we wanted to bring back to life. Careful restoration preserved its soul, enhanced its authenticity and created a balance between the magic of the past and contemporary comfort.

From the very first moment, we fell in love with this corner of Valpolicella: its surrounding peace, the view over the hills and the authentic charm still felt within the old family walls.

After years of work, passion and dedication, the house came back to life in 2017. One part became our home, while we chose to open the other to guests so they could discover and experience the magic of this place.

This is how our residence was born: Corte Lavarini The Magic At Sight: a home rich in history in the heart of Valpolicella, where welcoming rooms, shared spaces and original details reveal the place's true character.

One of its most atmospheric corners is the even older seventeenth-century cellar, now transformed into the Event Lounge: a space that keeps its original charm intact and continues to live through private events and special occasions, offering a unique atmosphere for unforgettable moments.
